Oaktown Native Plant Nursery
A West Berkeley gem specializing in California natives propagated from locally sourced seed and cuttings, with particular depth in Bay Area habitats and microclimates. An excellent source for ecotype-appropriate plants for East Bay projects, with knowledgeable staff and a strong restoration background.
Theodore Payne Foundation
The cornerstone of Southern California's native plant movement, founded in 1960. TPF operates a full-service nursery, seed room, and demonstration gardens, with an exceptional selection of plants propagated from throughout the state. An essential resource for LA-area projects.
